NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PRIVATE SCHOOLS

The National Association of Private Schools (N.A.P.S.) is a distinguished consortium of Christian educators and schools across the United States. Dedicated to improving the character and educational quality of private Christian schools, N.A.P.S. provides vital educational assistance and accreditation. As a non-profit educational organization, N.A.P.S. supports church schools, private Christian schools, and Christian home school academies that offer credible, traditional education programs from Pre-K through 12th grade. By assisting and complementing existing school programs, N.A.P.S. ensures that member schools, including Lee's Summit Academy, maintain high standards of educational excellence and Christian values.

NCAA CERTIFICATION for scholarship eligibility

Lee’s Summit Academy is proud to be certified by the NCAA for scholarship eligibility. This certification means that our students, who are actively pursuing sports through clubs and other associations, can attend LSA and be academically eligible to play college sports and receive scholarships. The NCAA certification process involves a thorough examination of our curriculum, graduation statistics, and other critical data to ensure we meet rigorous academic standards.

Division I Eligibility:

  • Students must complete 16 core courses in high school.

  • They must earn a minimum required GPA in core courses.

  • Students must achieve a combined SAT or ACT sum score that matches their GPA on a sliding scale, detailed in the NCAA Eligibility Center Quick Reference Guide.


Division II Eligibility:

  • Students must complete 16 core courses in high school.

  • A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required.

  • Students must have a combined minimum SAT score of 820 or an ACT sum score of 68.


NCAA Core Courses Definition: An academic course in areas such as English, mathematics, natural/physical science, social science, foreign language, comparative religion, or philosophy. These courses must be college preparatory, including AP® classes or other advanced courses.

Missouri A+ Scholarship Program

The Missouri A+ Scholarship Program offers substantial scholarship funds to eligible graduates of A+ designated high schools. These funds are available for students attending participating public community colleges, vocational/technical schools, or certain private two-year vocational/technical schools. At Lee's Summit Academy, we take pride in our affiliation with the A+ Program, providing our students with significant financial support opportunities for higher education.
